Ever wanted to know HOW it’s done? Come along and train on this unique course and gain certification from the UK’s leading provider of stage and screen combat training.
Course Summary You will gain a basic working knowledge of film fighting techniques. We will use unarmed combat to explore the requirements and quirks of working in this medium. Basic set etiquette and performance disciplines will be covered and a constant emphasis placed on safety and creating reality for the camera.
You will have the opportunity to take the Fight Performance Exam awarded by the British Academy of Stage & Screen Combat (BASSC) and receive a Foundation in Film Fighting: Unarmed certificate at the end of term.
This course will take place at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Ruskin Hall, Bournville and is taught by Roger Bartlett (Equity Fight Director and Master Teacher with the BASSC and graduate of the International Stunt School).
