During this course you will learn the theoretical and physical aspects of the development and making of a piece or collection of jewellery in wax form which takes place in a supported practical workshops based in the School of Jewellery.You will explore various aspects of Wax carving including sourcing materials and tools and learning a number of new skills in wax carving at a hobby scale. This 3 evening long course will aid in equipping you with the understanding and background to help you produce a twisted wedding band and a signet ring and allow you to develop techniques in texture, fit, form and functionality of a wearable or sculptural carving.Items can be cast & finished on request for an extra charge. Charges based on metal weights of final pieces and can be quoted on the evening.
