WHAT will your course cover?During this course you will learn the theoretical and physical aspects of the development and making of a piece or collection of jewellery in wax form which takes place in a supported practical workshops based in the School of Jewellery and can then be cast out and worked on with support in the sessions. You will explore various aspects of Wax carving including sourcing materials and tools and learning a number of new skills in wax carving at a hobby scale. This 12 week long course will aid in equipping you with the understanding and background to help you produce a range of jewellery items of your choice and will allow you to develop techniques in texture, fit, form and functionality of a wearable or sculptural carving.Further wax can be purchased if you complete all tasks at minimal costs to you.
