Detailed Description

WHAT will your course cover?
During this course you will learn the theoretical and physical aspects of the development and making of a piece or collection of Silversmithing Ware which takes place in a supported practical workshops based in the School of Jewellery in the Heart of the Historical Jewellery Quarter. You will explore various aspects of jewellery making including sourcing materials and tools and learning a number of new skills in jewellery making at a hobby / amateur level. This academic year long course will aid in equipping you with the understanding and background knowledge to help you produce a range of Larger scaled Silversmithing items of your choice.
The scale of work is larger scale base metal or precious metal Silversmithing. Alternative courses are available for small scale Jewellery projects. Neither course support alternative scales of working.
