Detailed Description

WHAT will your course cover?
During this course you will learn the theoretical and physical aspects of hand engraving. The classes take place in a supported practical workshop based in the School of Jewellery in the Heart of the Historical Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham. You will explore various aspects of Engraving to a set output for each set of sessions including, how to set up your tools how to control the metal and how to transfer the designs alongside learning a number of new skills in hand engraving at a hobby / amateur level. This 12 week short course will aid in equipping you with the understanding and background knowledge to help you to engrave a set outcome piece.
This course has set outcomes with further set outcome courses launching throughout the year.
This is the second course in the series and covers the engraving of animals.
