The Birmingham 10K and Half Marathon are fantastic events bringing students and staff together across all the University campuses. Each with their own unique style and method of travelling around the course as the University for Birmingham our students and staff demonstrate great passion and determination as they take part in one of the main events in Birmingham each year.

The 2024 target is 300 members from BCU taking part in the iconic event.

The upcoming event will be taking place on, Sunday 5th May 2024, and we cannot wait to see the BCU running community amongst the crowd!

Crowds of spectators, bands and the local radio station have cheered over 200 Birmingham City University staff and students in previous years.

BCU Active has negotiated uncapped entries at £25 pp for the 10K and £33 pp for the Half Marathon. This reduced price will remain until Friday 12th January 2024 after which the cost will return to the original price of £31 pp (10K) and £41 pp (Half Marathon).

Delegates are to first register via the BCU Store to secure a place. In March 2024 all delegate entries will be passed onto Great Run who will then contact individuals to formally register for their run pack and token.
